
Spring Eats and Artisan Expo
S & G Events is recruiting volunteers to help with their spring event, The Spring Eats and Artisan Expo. The Expo is a family-friendly community gathering featuring local food trucks, artisan vendors, and entertainment. This year, we are proud to make this a charitable event; we will be collecting and donating art supplies (scratch canvases/canvases) and non-perishable food items to The Arc Marion.

Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: The Arc Ocala, 2800 SE Maricamp Rd, Ocala, FL 34471
Volunteer Roles:
Parking Assistance: Wearing neon safety vests to guide incoming traffic.
Guest Services: Handing out event flyers/maps and directing guests to restrooms.
Grounds Maintenance: Walking the area to ensure it remains free of debris and trash.
Vendor Support: Assisting our artisans by watching their booths for short breaks or helping them coordinate food orders so they can remain at their stations.

VHS Plant Sale:
We need volunteers for our plant sale on Saturday, March 14th from 8am-2pm. No experience necessary! Just show up at the Vanguard shade house (far end of the student parking lot) on the 14th and stay for as long as you can. Remember to bring your service hours forms!

AdventHealth Volunteer Opportunites
AdventHealth Ocala is very proud to provide leadership and educational
experiences for many teenagers in Marion County. We are looking for teens
to join our healthcare team this fall. We would like to invite teens who
meet the eligibility requirements to apply to become a Teen Volunteer.
Teenage applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum age of 16 years old

Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (B). Copy of most current
report card must be attached to application.
- Recommendation of guidance counselor and parent permission
- Availability to make the minimum 4 hour per week time commitment
- Compliance with AdventHealth Ocala Covid and Flu vaccine requirements

Teens that meet the requirements are invited to attend a MANDATORY
volunteer information/orientation session at AdventHealth Ocala. TEENS
MUST RSVP so we can ensure we have enough seats/materials.

Project Hope's new downtown thrift store - opening March 2025
Project Hope works to help homeless women and children within Marion
County. They are opening up a thrift store in March of 2025. Volunteers
for the thrift store can learn a variety of skills, not the least of which
is customer service! Please consider volunteering to help this worthy
cause.

MCYFL Volunteers Needed!!
If you are interested in volunteering with MCYFL, please contact Sarah
Barnes (352-875-7846, call or text) and she will walk you through the
process of becoming a volunteer and downloading the app where you will be
able to choose the days and times that you wish to volunteer!
Tutoring Opportunity
The Mary Sue Rich Community Center is in need of student volunteers for
their Tuesday and Wednesday programs. The hours are from 3:30-6 PM and
students are welcome to volunteer for all hours or partial hours. There
are MCPS teachers working at each site and student volunteers just need to
check in.

MTRA works very hard to assign specific tasks to people with the skills
and experience to help us maximize the very valuable hours that our

Habitat For Humanity of Marion County is a volunteer driven
organization, so we depend heavily on a strong volunteer base to help
with our efforts. Simply put, Habitat would not exist without the help
of volunteers. We’re looking for skilled and unskilled construction
workers, retail workers and office help.

Volunteers play an important role in our Animal Center. They can help us
facilitate adoptions and promote our goals, socialize animals, take photos,
help make treats, attend adoption events, join us for play groups, dog
training, catch up on laundry and so much more!
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, have a friendly demeanor, be able
to effectively communicate with staff and residents, and have the ability
to work safely with animals. Hours earned at Animal Services count toward
scholarship and graduation requirements.

Ocala Civic Theatre Volunteer opportunities
Ocala Civic Theatre is a volunteer-based organization with a small
full-time staff. Our volunteers are the backbone of the Theatre and have
helped make OCT what it is today. If you’d like to get involved with OCT,
we welcome you to become one of our many volunteers! OCT has a vast number
of volunteer opportunities which can take up as little or as much of your

Volunteer with the Marion County Public Library System
Volunteers are a vital resource, providing thousands of hours of service
throughout the public library system each year. They help shelve books,
teach computer classes, read to children and assist with special library
projects and events.
